GosuncnWelink Cat M1/NB-IoT Module Obtained CE Mark

21 February, 2020, GosuncnWelink Cat M1/NB-IoT module GM100 obtained CE mark, which means it can serve the global market.




GM100 based on Qualcomm's new generation IoT dedicated modem MDM9205 chip, can support global multi-mode LTE Category M1 (e-MTC) and NB-IoT (NB1 / NB2) as well as compatible support for 2G/E-GPRS connectivity. GM100 provides a wealth of functions and features, including satellite positioning, hardware based security, cloud service support and supporting developer tools.

Compared with the same type of module developed on Qualcomm 9206 chip, the new GM100 module will have the following characteristics:

* New standard: support 3GPP Rel. 14 LTE Cat M1 (e-MTC) and LTE NB1/NB2 (NB-IoT), and compatible with 2G/ E-GPRS, to meet the network standard combination of different regions and countries;

* Global frequency: support 450MHz~2100MHz frequency band, one module integrates 18 CatM1/ NB-IoT bands (B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B8, B12, B13, B14 (Cat M1 only), B18, B19, B20, B25, B26, B28, B66, B71 (NB1 only), and GSM quadband (B2, B3, B5, B8).

* Small size: 20*24mm small size package conforming to CCSA standard, to meet the needs of various industrial applications;

* Low power consumption: compared with the previous generation of products, the power consumption can be reduced by more than 70% in PSM mode;

* High integration: integrated flash memory, RAM and RF front end with 50% reduction in chip size, higher integration and more cost effective;

* Multi-positioning: integrated GNSS positioning chip, can support GPS/ Beidou /Glonass/Galileo global positioning system;

* More secure: support security startup, security storage and debugging, hardware encryption and other security mechanisms;

* More powerful: based on Cat M1 standard, it can support VoLTE voice, mobility and high reliability.

* Open CPU, e-SIM, FOTA, multiple protocols and compatible with the mainstream cloud platform;

* Cat M1 and NB-IoT support both Class3 and Class5 types of maximum transmission power to meet the needs of a wide range of industry applications.

At present, GM100 has scale applied in areas including smart electricity meters, asset tracking, wearable devices, connected car, etc., and has become the core product of GosuncnWelink module family.

For 5G m-MTC evolution, GosuncnWelink’s LPWA module products GM100 and ME3616 (NB-IoT Only) will provide secure and reliable wireless communication connections for different regions and vertical industries.
