Breakthrough in low power consumption - GM120 module
Source:

With the opening of the bidding for NB-IoT modules in 2020, the GosuncnWelink GM120 module officially took the stage: In April, Jiangsu Province Telecom tendered, GosuncnWelink GM120 module won the first place, with excellent performance and highly competitive product configuration win the customer affirmation.

GM120 is a new generation of NB-IoT modules launched by GosuncnWelink and XinYi Information Technology Co., Ltd. It integrates the experience of the previous two generations of NB-IoT modules and continues to develop and innovate.

The GM120 module adopts XinYi Information Technology's highly integrated single-chip solution XY1100 and supports the 3GPP R14 protocol version. It uses an LCC 16mm×18mm ultra-small package and is perfectly compatible with previous generation products. GM120 supports NB-IoT B3, B5, B8 frequency bands, which can support the three major operator networks, seamless switching.

The GM120 module is based on a highly integrated chip solution architecture and uses DeepSleep ultra-low power mode to reduce the operating current in PSM mode to 0.7μA and eDRX mode (2.56s) current to 120μA. The power consumption performance in sleep mode is increased by up to 80%. At the same time, with the fast switching from sleep mode to data transmission mode, the GM120 module supports QuikWakeup technology, which can achieve millisecond-level communication link recovery. At present, GM120 can achieve from sleep, wake up to a single pass, the overall delay is as low as 1.5s, based on X-PSM ultra energy-saving technology, the single communication energy consumption is as low as 0.04mAh.

The powerful low-power performance will enable GM120 to be widely used in many IoT application scenarios including location tracking, smart meters, and security alarms. Industry customers develop and design around the GM120 module, and can also reduce the number of peripheral devices by 60%, further achieving the double power consumption and cost performance of the whole machine.
