5G Connected vehicle era, the frontier of high-emergence rushing technology - the debut of MWC19

From June 26th to 28th 2019, the world's most influential mobile communication exhibition was held in Shanghai. This is the world's largest technology conference covering the full coverage of 5G networks. Attracted more than 550 large communication companies including Huawei, ZTE, China Mobile, China Unicom, Telecom and Gosuncn, 110 countries and regions, and more than 60,000 professionals from mobile and related industries participated in the conference.


As the only car networking enterprise in China that runs through the car factory, intelligent transportation, 5G communication, automobile electronic identification and artificial intelligence, Gosuncn Technology Group is invited to participate in this MWC19 exhibition, with the theme of “Automobile Intelligent Network Leader”. The five booth areas fully displayed the all range of products and solutions for the Internet of Vehicles, 5G and C-V2X technologies, smart transportation application platforms and “connection-terminal-platform-application” through real-life experience, 3D suspended image and scene construction.


With 5G technology, imagination is not enough


We presented snow-white new electric model "Geely Geometry A". “This is a smart car with the ability to self-perceive and communicate with others.” According to the person in charge of the high-elevation of T-Box (vehicle information unit) installed in the car is equipped with a highly developed self-developed car gauge. Level module, which can realize communication between car and back-end system/mobile APP, relying on wireless communication, GPS and CAN bus integration, etc., to provide vehicle owners with road condition information, navigation information, critical situation response plan, remote vehicle diagnosis and internet (message , financial services, email, etc.) services, etc.

On our booth, we also showed that the two screens hanging on the wall are very special, showing the trajectory of two cars driving on urban roads, which can realize blind-spot warning, emergency electric braking, front vehicle collision warning, and crossover. “This is a demo formed by two OBUs equipped with LTE-V modules independently developed by Gosuncn.” We introduced that real-time communication can be realized between the two “vehicles”, sharing vehicle position and speed. A steering signal or the like is used to determine the body state information of the external driving environment so that the owner enjoys driving pleasure while assisting safe driving.

After Gosuncn entered the field of vehicle networking, it continued to research and develop products and technologies, fully integrated computing, wireless communication technology and automotive electronics to achieve a complete edge and cloud-integrated service, filling the gap in the industry. During the exhibition, Gosuncn also exhibited a wealth of car-level communication module, including 4G, LTE-V2X car-level communication modules and 5G communication modules. Among them, the Gosuncn LTE-V2X car-level communication module has been mass-produced.

Gosuncn has many matching experiences in car-level modules and has a complete supporting system that meets the R&D, quality, testing and delivery of pre-installed equipment. In the automotive front-loading market, Gosuncn offers 4G car modules and T-Box terminals for many models of Geely's cars. In the aftermarket, Gosuncn cooperated with AT&T, T-Mobile, Deutsche Telekom, Telia, etc. to provide 4G OBD (Onboard Diagnostic System) and UBI (Driver Based Insurance), of which 4G OBD number one in the world for shipments, the car network terminal can be adapted to more than 14,000 models, and has passed the rigorous testing and certification of FCC, PTCRB, T-Mobile and other institutions in Europe and America to meet the stringent requirements of the international market.

Building a Multi-Dimensional Collaborative 5G Car Network

The car networking industry is a new type of industry that is deeply integrated into the automotive, electronics, information and communication, road transportation and other industries. Gosuncn makes full use of the understanding of the automotive industry, transportation industry, and communication industry, and focuses on "people-car-road-net-cloud" The large traffic layout has realized the business integration of traffic control, transportation, electronic license plates, and car networking.


Gosuncn showed a "smart road" next to the "smart car". The "roadside" was equipped with an L-bar with traffic lights and the roadside unit (RSU) independently developed by Gosuncn and the car electronic identification antenna. It is worth mentioning that this 3GPP Release 14-based LTE-V2X Roadside Unit (RSU) is the first public appearance, supporting Uu+PC5 concurrency mode, supporting LTE-V, WiFi, GPS/Beidou, 4G/5G Multi-mode communication architecture. These devices enable low-latency, high-reliability, and high-density data exchange between the vehicle and the surrounding environment, as well as a comprehensive perception of the road environment to improve vehicle safety, promote autonomous driving, and improve traffic efficiency.

5G leads and actively builds Connected vehicle system

At MWC19, Gosuncn also highlighted two first self-developed 5G modules and a series of intelligent module-based applications, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), DMS (Driving Behaviour Monitoring), etc.
